#veg fried rice "keep it simple"

This time its a turn of some vegetrain dish. And i decided to make stir fried rice. FRIED RICE is a dish of cooked rice which has been stir fried in wok or frying pan. And in this dish many vegetables are used during stir frying such as cabbage, green pepper, onion Tomato, beans many more. And if you are non vegetarian then you can also add boiled or fried chicken chuncks.
       In this dish you have to use boil rice or stained boiled rice.
 The origin of this dish " fried rice" is "China". The basic indgridents of this chinese dish is leftover rice/ boiled rice, meat/ chicken, vegetables, soya sauce and garlic. But in my recipe which is given below i am not using soyasauce, I kept it  simple.
Actually fried rice started with a purpose to avoid throwing of unconsumed rice. Consume the leftover through stir frying.
Today too many styles, types of fried rice exists. Following are the simple and easy steps to make veg fried rice at home.
 so let's go....and start with the preparation....


Veg fried rice:-

Preparation time -10 mins
Cooking time -15 mins
Total time - 25 to 30 mins
Course- main course
Serving 2-3
Chef -nitisha minikamenu

Ingredients :-

1 cup of boiled basmati rice
1 chopped onion
1 chopped tomato
Half cup chopped cabbage
1 cup mixed veggies ( beans,peas, potato, broccoli)
6 to 7 cloves of garlic chopped
3 to 4 tablespoon of cooking oil
1 chopped capsicum
Salt to taste
Schezwan fried rice masala (optional)


Preparation :-

  • Take one pan and boil one cup of basmati rice.
  • You can add salt to the boiling rice.
  • Let the rice cook.
  • After 10 minutes when the rice is cooked spread in a plate to cool down.
  • Keep aside.

  • When the rice is boiling till then you can chop all the veggies and keep aside.

Method:-

  • When the rice is cooling down.
  • We can s
  • Now it's time  tomake fried rice.
  • Take a pan for 3 to 4 tablespoon of cooking oil .
  • When oil is done and chopped garlic.
  • Don't let the garlic burn.
  • Add splitted green chillies
  • Now add chopped onions.
  • Add chopped cabbage.
  • After onion if you want to add chopped capsicum you can add otherwise you can directly add mix vegetables.
  • Saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Let  the vegetable cook. Don't overcook the veggies. Because crunchy veggies taste good in fried rice.
  • After the vegetables are done add chopped tomatoes.
  • Let the tomato cook properly.
  • Now add salt to taste.
  • Saute for few minutes.
  • Now it's time to add boiled rice.
  • Mix the rice and vegetable properly.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander.
  • If you want to add schezwan rice masala you can add but it is optional.
  • Your veg fried rice ready to eat.
  • Sir hot.

Note:-

  1. Let the boil rice cool down first.
  2. Don't let the garlic burn.
  3. Adding garlic is must.
  4. You can add what ever vegetable you like to add.
  5. Don't over cook veggies.
  6. Serve hot.
